MEGA - a gem spelt backwards, and that is what best describes Mega. One of a few samoyeds in my kennel who was a near perfect puppy. Apart from a fetish for the kitchen rubbish bin, she has no bad vices.

Mega is a talker --- a great conversation can be had with her, and she likes to have the last word. She loves to dress up, and has featured in many of the Kimskaya Christmas parades as a reindog, has raised funds for several charities and is the favourite canine attraction for the local Make a Wish Foundation. As a youngster she made a stage debut in a fashion parade, upstaging the models, and has attended two bridal photo sessions and appeared in a fashion magazine. Mega auditioned for a dog food advertisement, but ate the food too fast! Then talked too much!. The director had over 40 "camera" attempts and many times we heard the word "cut" before getting the required result.

Mega's career began by winning baby and minor puppy in groups, She won Reserve challenge and Junior in Show aged 13 months under Mr Vincent Buonello Jnr USA, at the Samoyed Club of Victoria Championship Show 1995.

Mega is one of a handful of Tasmanian bitches to win Best Exhibit in Group. That same day she went Intermediate in Show. She won Australian Bred in Show three times and has challenges under specialists Ken Pierce and M. Zirdar, Slovenia.

In 2003 Mega attended the Launceston Royal Show as a Veteran, and provided the crowd with great delight as she assisted her four year old handler around the ring.

Mega produced Aust NZ Ch Kimskaya Mega Bucks and CH Kimskaya Mega Dream (click their name to visit their pages).

Mega has a champion litter sister in South Australia owned by Diane Brown - Ch Kimskaya Mystical Style, herself a multi group and in show winner and brood bitch.

Today she is a constant companion for Christine, who spoils her with home cooked meals, a warm fire and all day pampering. She enjoys her daily rural walks, her weekly outings in the car to visit her doggy friends at the beach, and can often be seen "talking" to the people at St Vincent's Home for the Aged.

Sadly Christine and Mega died early July 2007. Special wishes to them for a lifetime together on the other side.
